    Ordered a Sony Alpha 230 from CameraKings. Had to call and confirm and the salesman suggested two more items but I said No thanks. He was very courteous and helpful. The shipment arrived in two days. No problems. Excellent store and will definitely buy from them again.

    Thank You Fellow consumers! Just when I was just about to hit the buy now button, I had a gut feeling to do a search and found this forum....I then looked at other sites and same story- Bad Bad BAd...run. I will take my business somewhere else, even if it means paying 15% more.

    Forget about shopping here. Everything you have just read is true. They have scammed me and they will scam you. I was yelled at on the phone and basically called a liar when I called back to see about returns and a refund.

    I purchased an Onkyo home theater system from Camera Kings and was told it would ship in 1 to 2 days. They kept claiming item was shipped for 2 weeks then claimed item was indefinitely backordered although website still claims item is in stock and ready for shipping. Avoid this company at all costs.

    Read most reviews and almost did not buy a rather expensive DSLR Camera. But, due to the huge cost savings I thought I would purchase the camera and then if not happy would return it. Placed the order and before it was shipped, the price on line was reduced by 14.00---not a large amount but I called and they honored the lesser price immediately. I did get a phone call from one of their salesmen and although persistent, he was not pushy as many of the reviews stated. I received an e-mail a couple of days later saying the camera had been shipped and the e-mail included a tracking number. I received the item six days after ordering and it came very well packaged with everything I ordered. I will not hesitate to order from this merchant again.

    I have the same complaint as Dennis DeBautte. I also purchased a camera (7D) body only with the 50mm lens (99.oo retail). My original was 1509.oo then I had to call and confirm my address..( this is where they get you). I was also told that the battery that comes with the camera is not a good one so I got the extra one that, like David, does not indicate whether the battery is charged. argh, and also was talked into getting the lens cover (20.oo). Anyways, I purchased this on Dec, 11 and I just got the camera on Dec 29th with a total of 1789.oo.
    Also requested a breakdown on the items but was told that it was a package deal! anyways, I would not recommend Camera Kings.

    I ordered a 2,149.99 Canon 5d overnight delivery which was 59.00.For a total - 2,208.99 The salesman said the battery that comes with the camera is no good and had a no life span and I need a different one to be able to take more pictures so I said OK and purchased it. Then he tells me he has a table top tripod for 20.00 more so I said OK to that. This put the total at 2,299.00.
    I opened the box on Christmas only to find that the battery is not compatible with the camera. When used with the canon 5d there is no battery charge indicator visible in the camera display. Also the tripod will not support the weight of the camera which I purchased.

    I looked at the invoice and it was written up as a package deal. Hence the tripod and charger are written up as 0 dollars. I was charged 2,299.99 for the complete package.
    I will call Amex and have them remove the complete charge from my card unless Camera Kings agrees to credit me back for the charger and tripod which I estimate to be 90.00

    Do Not Buy From This Company! They lie and lie to scare you into purchasing things you do not need. They lie about availability as they do not stock product and don't really know what is available or not. I ordered a $1,200.00 camcorder with the guarentee it was in stock and would ship that day. One week later it had still not shipped. Now 3 days before Christmas and nothing. I cannot say enough bad things about this company and their sales tactics.

    Order a high price digital SLR camera for $150 creaper than anywhere else in stores and online & paid for faster shipping in time for Xmas. The following day(Friday afternoon) a saleman name "Eric" called using those "pushy sales" tactics I keep reading about. He almost had with an x-tra battery and memory card insisting I couldn't get them cheaper anywhere else and I had to have them or the camera wouldn't work. I finally gave him a stern no! He then told me it was going to arrive after Xmas cuz the order needed to go in first thing Friday morning & that I'd have to pay EVEN MORE for it to arrive ontime. As of right now (after spending 45 mins on the phone being transferred between 10 different people and giving my order# 10 different) I was reimbursed the extra shipping charge, atleast thats what I was told. My problem seems to be solved but I can see why everyone has Negative imput.

    Stay away! I ordered a digital camera Nov 28th and here it is, Dec 20th and nothing! I have inquired several times about delivery and they keep saying it should go out today and allow 3-4 business days. Do not fall for this crap. Buy from a reputable store. AVOID AVOID AVOID

    Order a Home Theater System in which there site said would ship in 1-2 business days. Contacted them for tracking# and they said the item is on back order even though their site says its in stock. Avoid at all cost. If you want to give it a go anyway make sure you use PayPal. I finally got my money back after three weeks. I believe it would have been a disaster if I didn't use PayPal.

    I bought some AV equipment online using NextTag - lowest price by far. Called them to "finalize" the order and they try to sell, sell sell! Extended warranty this, HDMI cables that, first the warranty is $50, then he can do it for $25?!?!?! Pain the the rear dealing with places like this. Order has not shipped yet, so I am leery. Can't say if they will ship or not, but have the feeling it will not end well. I would say stay away, just to avoid the headaches. Pay 30 bucks more to deal wtih a reputable business and sleep at night.

    Ordered a Sony TX1 &authorized a payment of $309 on my ccard. Sales rep called me the next day to try &sell me a battery & memory card was very aggresive &pushy.I realised later went ahead &ordered the charger for me even tho I told him I did'nt want 1!! My credit card was billed $ 348 instead of $ 309 . They told me I ordered it & they have shipped it to me..I told them I never ordered an extra battery & have no need for it. They said I would have to either refuse the entire order or send them back the battery within 21 days. Tommy is the manager I spoke with. Unbelievbale rude and just a nightmare to deal with.I told him I am leaving the country for a month the day I am receiving the battery and did not have the time to take the extra battery to a post office and ship it back. They have absolutely no customer service at all.terribly rude & even though their prices may be cheaper(dealing with them over the phone or email (which btw they dont respond to )is not worth it.I will NEVER buy from them again.

    times are tough, people are working day to day, and to get ripped off and taken by another online bunch of scum I ask you, sit back and leave a blog, or do something about it. we had soeone place an order and she was taken for $159.00 that may not sound like a lot but she was almost fired for it. until we looked into it.

    A bunch of liars! Order was supposed to be delivered in 1 to 2 business days and 5 days later, no shipment. All the while when i called they kept saying it was shipped. My credit card showed no charges so I called and they finally admited it was never shipped yet and so I canceled my order. Bunch of liars! BEWARE THEIR BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS AND POOR SHIPPING SERVICE AND LIES!

    Just received my Panasonics ZS3 from CameraKings for only $264. At Amazon they ask over $300 and at other internet stores over $330. Ordered on internet on Friday, delivered Monday (8 days later). Excellent experience.

    Bad news. These people sold me a used defective return that was missing parts, when they advertised a new in the box unit. Now the unit has failed completly leaving me out $1200.00. To top it off, they are very rude and arrogant

    I purchased a projector Friday at that time it was listed as available. My order was processed Saturday. I was told my package would leave the warehouse Monday. On Thursday still not recieving any shipping information, I emailed the customer service department. "Emily" responded and said that my projector had been shipped from another warehouse and see would get back to me. So now Friday one week later I call and talk to a customer service agent, he says yeah it might go out Monday or Tuesday. I asked for a more specific date of arrival, and asked how they planned to take care of me. He immediately said I can sell you another projector, I asked if they would give me 2 day shipping he refused. I asked if he could offer me a new projector at the same rate I paid for the factory refurb, he said no, sorry, and hung up.

    Outcome:

    Monday I ending up having to cancel the order and am waiting on my paypal account to be credited.


    AVOID THIS COMPANY VERY VERY BAD SERVICE AND POLICIES

    Typical bait and switch operation. After placing a web order I was told on the phone that I needed a bigger battery which I declined. At that point I was told two day shipping would not be available and it would be more than two weeks for delivery. Obviously an attempt to get me to cancel the order which I did. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
