Techondigital needs to be shut down!!!!

TechonDigital is terrible. I tried to order a Nikon D40x from them. They called to "confirm" the order and try to sell me a bunch of other stuff that I didn't need. I fell for it. Luckily my husband had the presence of mind to make me call them and cancel the extra stuff. Of course it was a big hassel and when I finally got them to cancel the order they hung up on me...needless to say I didn't get my camera.

This retailer is total scum. I was lured in by a low price, then called by a sleazy sounding guy who tried to hard sell me an SD card at a ridiculous price. I wouldn't agree to buy it and asked to call back - he said I had to answer right there on the phone. I said no and he cancelled my order and told me never to order from him again!!! As if I would...
Horrible, dishonest liars

Horrible company that should be reported. I bought a camera for my wife's birthday and paid a bunch for 3 day shipping (last minute purchase). They called my WIFE'S phone to confirm her surprise gift, then tried to tell her that the factory battery only lasts 20 minutes so she would need their special 2 hour battery for 79.99. They canceled the order 7 days after I ordered it. 3 day shipping, HA!
Be good to yourself and avoid this seller.

I ordered a Garmin Nuvi 260W GPS at $175. When the rep called me to confirm the order, he insisted that I needed a 2 gig card to store address and to receive free map updates from Garmin. While my order was en route, I contacted Garmin to confirm what the rep told me about the card. None of it was true. I didn't need a card at all. When I received my unit, I called Garmin, gave the rep the serial number of the unit and asked him to give me a production date, which turned out to be May of 2008. The rep also confirmed that the map in the unit was the latest version. So, even though I was wrongfully sold an unnecessary accessory for a highly inflated price, the total cost of the unit and the card is still the best price I can find on the Internet for the GPS. I cannot recommed TechonDigital, however. My advice to you would be to go with a reputable seller, even if you have to pay more, because a reputable seller will stand behind the product and treat the customer well.
Do no buy anything from these crooks!!!

They make you call them to "confirm the order". When I called them they told me I needed to buy an SD memory card for this GPS to work properly. This is a lie, so I said no. Next they tried to sell me one of the extended waranties. I said no. Next they told me it comes with 2005 maps and if I wanted 2008 maps it would be an additional $59.00. I told him to cancel the order.
Only after calling back to speak with a
supervisor, did I learn that these Nuvi
260W's they're selling for $175.00 are
leftover 2005 models that were originally sold in Japan before the Nuvi 260W was introduced in the U.S. They represent them in their web ad as "brand new factory sealed units" without mentioning that they
have old maps from 2005 in them. When you call to confirm your order, you get the high pressure slick pitch from them. They are a "Featured Seller" on everyprice.com with nothing but rave reviews-I'd steer clear of everyprice.com too.
Terrible Experience

red...They are horrible. Hard sell extra unnecessary accessories. Did not get what I ordered and they will not help rectify the order. Terrible experience. Do not buy anything from them!!!!
Beware, not a company you can trust

Ordered gps. They called me back and told me it needed a memory card. I told them I had one, then they told me it was out of stock. When I asked about another model they told me it was in stock but I'd have to pay extra for 2008 maps. When I told the rep to cancel my order he told me he could give me a deal now but if I changed my mind and called back he'd charge me full price. Then he changed his mind and told me NOT to call back. Very, very rude. Beware.
it's really not available

I have tried buying 2 different cameras from Techon. The website says it is in stock, then you have to call and they hit you up to buy accessories such as batteries at an inflated price. If you just want the camera, then they say it is out of stock and will take 4-6 weeks. After a few days, they cancelled the order. I don't think they sell just the cameras alone. I wouldn't waste my time with these people.
Low Price Ripoff!!!
Suggested color: red by CarefulBuyer (Sun., 07/20/08, 11:51 AM)
They advertise low prices, but they make you call in to 'verify' your order. When you call in, they verify nothing, they just try to sell you items that you don't need. With me, they canceled my order when I told them I didn't want anything but what I had ordered. They sent me an email telling me my order was canceled (out of stock for 6-8 weeks) and NOT to re-order it.
DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Don't get swindled by these guys and their high pressure sales tactics

Flaming RED -- major integrity and customer (lack of) service issues....they make you call to confirm your order and then pressure you into buying something that you do not need i.e. a $149 memory card not needed for the TomTom 920.... these guys are sleezes...
